Okinawa Tourist Service (hereinafter referred to as ‘OTS’) signed the WEPs (Women’s Empowerment Principles) to become a member of the supporting companies. We are pleased to inform you that our application to the WEPs was recently approved. OTS is now one of 2465 member companies in the world, 245 companies in Japan and the second company of Travel & Leisure sector in Japan. (as of August, 2019). OTS takes this opportunity and further empower women based on the 7 principles of WEPs.
UN Women and UN Global Compact are encouraging firms of all sizes, in all countries, industries and sectors, to take decisive action towards gender equality with the Women’s Empowerment Principles.

Principle 1: Establish high-level corporate leadership for gender equality
Principle 2: Treat all women and men fairly at work – respect and support human rights and non-discrimination
Principle 3: Ensure health, safety and well-being of all workers regardless of gender
Principle 4: Promote women’s education, training and professional development
Principle 5: Implement enterprise development, supply chain and marketing practices that empower women
Principle 6: Promote equality through community initiatives and advocacy
Principle 7: Measure and publicly report on progress to achieve gender equality
