To mark the September opening of OTS Rental Cars New Zealand, a fully owned subsidiary of Okinawa Tourist Service (OTS) Inc., OTS sponsored an official Japan Central League baseball match on Aug. 16th between Tokyo Yakult Swallows and Yomiuri Giants at the Jingu Stadium in Tokyo.
About 25,000 people were in the audience when New Zealand Ambassador to Japan Stephen Payton threw the ceremonial first pitch of the game. OTS had invited the ambassador to participate to mark the opening of the New Zealand office.
In addition to the ambassador, popular Yakult Swallows mascot character “Tsubakuro” inspired the audience to cheer the Swallows.
OTS Chairman Yoshikazu Higashi presented a New Zealand travel package gift that was raffled away during the event to the audience.
